Hello! I recently came back from my hair transplant trip, so I wanted to share a simple review for now.
I wanted to take things slow and relax this time, so I planned a trip from April 5th to April 14th.
It’s a clean 4-star hotel, and the location is pretty good. It’s close to Galata Bridge and other major tourist spots—about 15 minutes by public transportation. I really liked the area.
This is the hotel provided during the procedure and recovery period.
This hotel was also nice. Breakfast had more variety and overall better quality compared to the first place. There’s even a mall nearby, so the location felt very convenient.
- Galata Bridge
It’s so interesting here—you’ll see tons of people fishing on the bridge. They catch so many fish!

- Galata Port
It’s a great place to visit on a sunny day. Since it’s located near Galata Tower, you can visit both together.
There’s also a small alley nearby where they sell mackerel sandwiches, and I highly recommend trying one while you’re there.
- Galata Tower
When you walk up the hill toward the tower, there are lots of cute souvenir shops—magnets, accessories, coffee cups, and more.
I bought a bunch of tiny dish-like cups as gifts.
The viewpoint inside the tower is supposed to be amazing, but I didn’t go in this time because prices have gone up a lot. Entrance fees everywhere were around 40,000–50,000 KRW, so I skipped it.
Still, the atmosphere around the tower was really nice.
If you keep walking all the way up the hill, you’ll reach a lively shopping street, so check it out if you’re curious.
- Basilica Cistern (Yerabatan Sarayı)
This place is honestly fascinating.
If the entrance fee wasn’t so high, it would’ve been the best attraction.
It’s an amazing site, but the entrance fee is around 50,000 KRW.
Turkey is experiencing high inflation at the moment, so everything has become expensive—just keep that in mind.
- Before the procedure
It doesn’t show well in the photo, but I had many thinning areas.
Even with scalp micropigmentation, the light reflecting off my scalp made me so self-conscious that I finally decided to go for the transplant.

- Right after the procedure
Except for one bathroom break, the whole procedure was done almost straight through.
Follicle extraction alone takes about 2–3 hours, and after a while your back starts hurting and you get tired.
I wanted to finish quickly, so I asked them to do it straight through.
Once they start working, the nurses focus quietly and keep going.
The anesthesia in the beginning hurts a LOT—especially around the front hairline. That part was really painful, but once the numbness kicks in, it becomes manageable.
- First night after the procedure
I don’t have photos, but you may see some bleeding while you sleep.
Don’t panic—it’s normal. Just wipe gently with a towel and check your neck pillow.
Because I didn’t want the blood to stain everything, I ended up sleeping on the sofa.
And since lying down hurts the donor area anyway, sitting and sleeping was actually fine.
- Day 6 after the procedure
Around day 4–5, everything gets a bit easier—less pain, and sleeping gets more comfortable.
I took this photo while writing this review, and I can already see the hair growing a little.

For currency exchange, I used Travel Wallet and withdrew lira as needed from nearby ATMs.
Fee-free ATMs include Ziraat Bankası and PTT, but there may be more.
I mostly used Ziraat Bankası and withdrew about 30,000–50,000 KRW worth of lira each time.
If you haven’t planned out your trip yet, ChatGPT can be surprisingly useful.

I used it to plan daily itineraries, find restaurants near tourist spots, and even check how to get around by public transportation.
Sometimes it gives weird suggestions—like recommending a restaurant 5 km away—so if that happens, try using another AI like Gemini together. :)
It’s a simple review, but I hope it helps!
